Groups (SIG's) FAQ
A SIG (Special Interest Group) is a group of members who attend regular meetings to discuss and explore aspects of computing and computer related activities.
SIG meetings (“meetups”) are typically held monthly at various venues and/or online. Some SIGs have a general interest in a wide range of topics while others have an in depth interest in a particular topic. As a member of Melb PC you can regularly attend any number of SIGs. It is expected that you will show your membership card when you attend in person SIG meetings and register to attend online meetings. Visitors are most welcome to join in.

This Special Interest Group (SIG) is a "Workshop" where our members can bring their projects along e.g. Arduino, 3D printing, Home Assistant, soldering or could be anything
The Saturday Workshop is a great environment to talk about anything related to these projects, share ideas, help others etc..
The workshop is always being developed with exciting new equipment added recently including a metal working lathe and milling machine.
This provides opportunity not only to progress your projects but to share their learnings and progress and to obtain assistance from other members on their Projects.
Our collection of tools and test gear is growing slowly as our project diversity increases.
So come along and join us and bring your favourite project along to share your experiences and aims for your projects.
